Knick Knack
I wanted to expose the humble object in tandem with a reduced view of something made for the elite to offer a dialogue of difference and class, not just for my satisfaction, but also for others to relate or react to. The enveloping nature of this medium has taken me to opposing ends of representation from Auguste Rodin's 'The Kiss' to everyday objects. My perception of a photographic object has levelled art precariously and has communicated the everyday in an odd but reflective circumstance. From inspiration to realisation these images have endeared themselves to me and have transcended the photographer/object relationship. 2014 |
